The purpose of these listings is for local activists to help people find alternative places to PP, not just for pregnancy, but for STD testing and treatment and other medical services that PP provides. See our home page.
PP locations are current up to February 7, 2024; check PP’s Minnesota page for updates on openings or closures. The centers in Grand Rapids and Virginia, which were temporarily closed for some time, are now no longer listed.

We list Community Health Centers, Rural Health Clinics, and other possible alternatives. These were found through web research, with occasional additions from local activists. Unless noted, they still need to be vetted by local activists as to quality and suitability. Here are action suggestions if they’re suitable or if they need improvement. Below is a report that lists those PP locations that have no CHCs within 5 miles, with information on what’s closest and who the U.S. Representative covering that location is. Since there are quite a few, the project of getting the national or state legislature to see to it that these areas are no longer under-served would be a prime way of offering alternatives to Planned Parenthood and improving care:
Expand Health Minnesota (2023)
Both Check My Clinic and Americans United for Life Report “Unsafe” (page 68) report that Minnesota doesn’t inspect abortion facilities. This is despite requiring licensing for freestanding outpatient surgery. Legislation was proposed last session, SF 1636, and may be re-introduced, which would provide for licensing if passed.
