Virtual Health Center of Maine
We list Community Health Centers, Rural Health Clinics, and other possible alternatives. These were found through web research, with occasional additions from local activists. Unless noted, they still need to be vetted by local activists as to quality and suitability. Here are action suggestions if they’re suitable or if they need improvement.
Americans United for Life Report “Unsafe” (page 66) reports that Maine doesn’t license or inspect abortion facilities. From AUL’s report: “AUL’s public records request to the Maine Department of Health and Human Services . . . garnered the response that, apart from abortion businesses, no other outpatient surgical facilities are exempt from licensing and inspection.”
