The purpose of these listings is for local activists to help people find alternative places to PP, not just for pregnancy, but for STD testing and treatment and other medical services that PP provides. See our home page.

Virtual Health Center of Colorado

Permanent closures: locations in Longmont and Parker closed in 2017.  The location in Granby closed in late 2020.  Denver Southwest (Glendale) and Lakewood  were closed by early 2022, and Alamosa closed after that and before June. Steamboat Springs had closed when checked in January 2023.  Centers in Aurora and Littleton closed sometime between April 24 to October 6, 2025.

We list Community Health Centers, Rural Health Clinics, and other possible alternatives. These were found through web research, with occasional additions from local activists. Unless noted, they still need to be vetted by local activists as to quality and suitability. Here are action suggestions if they’re suitable or if they need improvement.  

Both Check My Clinic and the Americans United for Life “Unsafe” report (p. 60) report that Colorado doesn’t inspect or license abortion facilities. The documents under Denver-Park Hill below are court filings.

There are 7 Community Health Centers in Colorado Springs within 5 miles of the PP location. They all belong to the same chain: Peak Vista.

A check of the web site shows that only one of them offers the (non-abortion) services PP does, making it possibly an alternative:

From a visit on a Sunday in July, 2018 (when they were closed): According to signs, the women’s center is on the second floor, and there is a pharmacy and a lab on site. There were over 225 non-reserved parking places in their parking lot. Photos:

This only gives information on the layout. The recommended research still needs to be done.

It’s also a good distance from the PP, so finding other possible alternatives in addition might be helpful; see campus health centers, county clinics, and other clinics that take Medicaid and might be suitable but haven’t applied to be CHCs.
